Just for the sake of completeness I'm posting the link to my other (older) long fic here, which is the translation of my originally German fic "Die letzte Sühne". It's 16 chapters, complete, and on FF.net. Characters: Snape, Kingsley Shacklebolt, Madam Pomfrey and others Rating: PG 13; Drama/Angst Originally published: 2005-2006 Beta: the lovely Lucidity Summary: Severus Snape, after getting seriously wounded in battle, on his way back to everyday life. But this time he doesn't have to struggle alone, as there are people willing to help him recover, first of all his friend Kingsley Shacklebolt. "Classical" Hurt/Comfort (with capitals! ;-)), focussed on the characters and the stony path to overcome physical and emotional trauma, and a peek on an unusual friendship between two men. No Slash, though. There is a serious "breach of style" in this fic, namely after the 6th chapter. The label "writing-struggle" was chosen for a reason, as I realised some time after publishing the 6th chapter that I rather hated it (and I still do, along with all the chapters before). Therefore I wanted to "adjust" my way of writing hurt/comfort and finally settled on a kind of "pensive drama", which is still my style in all my fics after that turning point. So please don't be too disappointed after the first 6 chapters, you might like better what follows. My apologies if you are still disappointed afterwards, though. Don't shoot me. And my English was even worse back then. ;-) please proceed to fanfiction.net ;-) |

Turned into a cookie for a longer book 7-story I'm currently working on. |

Characters: Severus Snape, Ian Weasley (OC) Rating: G Originally published: May 2005 Summary: A young Weasley, an aged Potions Master and a rather intriguing Muggle beverage... Betas: Ermione for the German original and lucidity for the translation. I owe them! Notes: This story came to my mind while listening to Billy Joel’s "Piano Man" – or more precise: after a picture that sprang to my mind at the below quoted lines. Said picture is to be found behind the cut as well. And a nice glass of gin and tonic helped to create both, fic and pic. So, credits to Schweppes and Gordon's... ;-) BTW: it's NO SLASH! Just two men meeting in a bar... and the fic is somewhat obsolete after book 7, of course. |

In the end it’s just a little musing about war and politics, and the human beings caught therein. My rather ambivalent approach is intended – after all, we all know the background anyway. |
